I have had a fun and enriching adventure in the internet looking and browsing for information on panda bears.I have learn more about panda bears and their characteristics and their habitat.
In my first article i did in my blog i understand the features of a panda bear, futhermore,i learnt about the things that a panda bear eats like bamboo leaves and where the panda bears like to stay or live.
In my next article in my blog, i found out the different types of names of the panda bears. It is known that the panda bear made its first appearence more than two to three million years ago in my blog.
In my third article in my blog, i realised that the panda bears like to take shelter in hollow trees. And it also takes ten-twelve hours feeding.
IN my forth article in my bog i learnt that the panda bear matures at the age of six.And when a baby panda bear is first born it has pink fur and it is also blind.
in my last article in my blog i learnt that the panda bears do not have to hibernate due to the large amount of bamboo supplied throughout the year.
finally i can summarise that the pandas are animals with black and white fur. They also prefer to live in cold and dense forests.panda bears like to eat bamboo laeves although they are known as carnivores.Panda bears mature at the age of six, normally the panda bear's mother would carry her cub by her teeth.

I have read on an newspaper article.Giant panda bears do not hibernate because they have a year-round supply of bamboo, and also because the bamboo, which their diet mainly consists of, does not supply them with a sufficient amount of fat to store for the winter.
Instead of hibernating, giant pandas decend to lower elevations where it is warmer and they can continue to feed. The are most active in the early evening, though on occasion, they may be active throughout the day and night feeding.

I have seen a new article on panda bears. The Panda bear is sexually mature at the age of 6. After the female panda gives birth to the young, she transports them by holding small pandas in her teeth.
Panda’s diet consists mainly from bamboo shoots, rodents occasionally small mammals such as fish or birds. Although this mammal is able to climb trees, it spends most of its time on the ground feeding itself approximately 10 hours each day.
When the cub is first born, it is pink, furless, and blind. A panda cub is also extremely small, and it is difficult for the mother panda bear to protect it because of the baby's size. One to two weeks after birth, the cub's skin turns gray where its hair will eventually become black.
From this i learn more about the cub of the panda bear.I also learn that the panda's cub is small and it is hard for it's mother to protect it.

The giant panda weighs 75 - 160 kg (165 - 353 lb). It occupies montane forests with dense stands of bamboo at altitudes of 2700 - 3900 m (8850 - 12,800') (although it may descend to as low as 800 m (2600') during winter). Cubs are born singly or in pairs, but the mother usually only raises one.
The giant panda does not make a permanent den but takes shelter in hollow trees, rock crevices and caves. It is predominantly terrestrial but can climb trees well. Activity is largely crepuscular and nocturnal.

I think that the panda is a big animal compared to otherbears in the animal kingdom.

I have read another article on panda bears. The giant panda is also known as the panda bear, bamboo bear, or in Chinese as Daxiongmao, the "large bear cat." The scientific name (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) means "black and white cat-footed animal."
The giant panda is believed to have made its first appearance during the late Pliocene or early Pleistocene, perhaps no more than two to three million years ago. Panda fossils have been found in present day Burma, Vietnam, and particularly early in eastern China, as far north as Beijing. In the second century AD the giant panda was a rare and semi-divine animal inside
Scientists have debated for more than a century whether giant pandas belong to the bear family, the raccoon family, or a separate family of their own. This is because the giant panda and its cousin, the lesser or red panda (Ailurus Fulgens), share many characteristics with both bears and raccoons.
i think that panda bears belong to the panda family due to their body form and structure.

I have read an article on pandas.I now know that the bears are basically heavy pounderous land creatures.Although the panda bears are known as carnivores, their sole item in the diet is eating bamboos.they also eat bones that are found stomuchs of dead animals.
the panda bears prefers to live in cold and damp carnivoures forests.they require bamboo for food and cover. They usually would climb on trees to hide from danger or their enemies. The panda bear looks alot like the other bears in terms of body structure.
The panda bears are the most distinctively marked of all bears.Their basic colour is white and black. When they are in the wild their body colour looks red or brown.Pandas have a short tail which is usually black.
I heard that the panda bears are going to be extinct.I think that the panda bears should be protected, if not our future generations would not be able to see this bears first hand. But only thorugh books and pictures.
